HYDROSPIN High-Efficiency Paint Booth (Impact-Separation Water-Washing Type)
HYDROSPIN is a paint booth developed and patented by Hayden Company in the 1970s. Over the past 30-plus years, the company has continuously refined and improved this system at its research center in Detroit, USA.
The working principle of HYDROSPIN is as follows:
After mixing, paint particles in the descending airflow are proportionally fed into the impact tube along with the water flow at extremely high velocity. Under the force of this high-speed impact, the paint particles are thoroughly separated from the air and carried away by the water flow, ensuring that the exhaust gases emitted from the painting booth no longer contain any paint. Currently, the HYDROSPIN III painting booth achieves a paint separation rate as high as 99.97%. Moreover, there is no residual paint left in the lower structure of the painting booth; for instance, in a painting booth serving an automotive manufacturer with an annual output of 200,000 vehicles, we have reduced the cleaning cycle to no more than once per year.
The performance comparison between HYDROSPIN and another commonly used venturi-type spray chamber is as follows:
| Hayden Low-Noise Impact Separator Type III | Other Venturi types | |
| Paint separation efficiency | 99.6% can be achieved under any production condition. |
98.2% can only be achieved under ideal conditions. |
| Water consumption | 5 liters/second/meter spray chamber length |
7.5 liters/second/meter spray booth length |
| If one or two impact tubes have no water flow, it will not affect operation. |
The absence of local water flow will affect the balance of the spray chamber, and this area will lack separation efficiency. |
|
| Changes in water flow velocity do not affect the operation. | Changes in water flow velocity significantly affect overall performance. | |
| Environmental noise |

| Cleaning cycle | The underwater cleaning period is 2 years. | 6 months |
| Exhaust residual water content | 0 | 0.03G M3 displacement |
| Foaming tendency (water-based paint) | Not obvious | Obvious |
